Prime Minister chaired the 41st meeting of the National Health Committee Islamabad: April 7, 2023 The 41st meeting of the National Health Committee was held on Friday at the Prime Minister’s House. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif chaired the meeting, which was attended by federal ministers, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, services chiefs, and senior officials of relevant departments.
The meeting was held as part of the series of meetings of the National Health Committee that were convened after the terrorist attack on January 2, 2023, in the Police Lines in Peshawar.
At the beginning of the meeting, tribute was paid to the martyrs of the 9th sector on April 7, 2012.
The meeting emphasized on comprehensive national health, making relief to the public central and informed the forum that the government is taking steps in this regard.
The meeting acknowledged the sacrifices and efforts of security forces for providing sustainable peace to the nation. The forum reaffirmed its commitment to continue its actions until the eradication of terrorism from Pakistan.
The committee identified the recent wave of terrorism, TTIP (a banned terrorist organization), soft corners, and policies based on non-thinking and non-consideration, which are completely contrary to public expectations and desires, as a result of terrorism. As a result, not only were terrorists allowed to return without hindrance, but dangerous terrorists associated with TTIP were also released from prisons under the guise of confidence-building.
The assembly approved a comprehensive joint operation with the full support of the nation and the government, which with new enthusiasm and determination will rid the country of terrorism. Efforts at the political, diplomatic, economic, and social levels will be included in this collective and multidirectional operation to eliminate all forms of terrorism and terrorists from Pakistan.
As part of this effort, a high-level committee has also been formed, which will present recommendations on the implementation of the operation and its limitations and restrictions within two weeks.
The successful operation of the powerful intelligence agency was praised at the assembly, which resulted in the arrest of the highly wanted terrorist Gulzar Imam, the founder and leader of the Baloch National Army and “Brass,” who had been involved in various terrorist activities for some time.
The committee strongly condemned the increasing divisive and secretive agenda of spreading poisonous propaganda on social media sponsored by external forces against state institutions and their leadership, which has caused a rise in hateful sentiment in society and affects national security.
The committee reaffirmed its commitment to thwart the reprehensible intentions of the country’s enemies and ensure the continuation of the great sacrifices of martyrs and continuous efforts to maintain peace and security by making every possible effort.
