On his swan song, he’ll be all geared up saying adieu to international cricket in style. Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne. Steven Smith I see in the runs.
More than Shaheen Shah, I believe if he could get a bit of bounce, Nauman Ali can come into play. Abrar Ahmad as I contemplate could be ominous either way.
With Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc & Josh Hazlewood in addition to Cameron Green & the wily Nathan Lyon, I hope this series doesn’t replicate Pakistan’s tour to England in 1962 or the last we were in Australia in 2019-20.
If I have to pin hopes, Babar Azam, Saud Shakeel, Abdullah Shafiq & Sarfraz Ahmad may well get in the runs. Important it will be to see how our batsmen avoid short bowling, the bouncers & how quickly they adjust on the back foot.
History is sordid, much better Pakistan teams were battered, most outstanding bowlers left beleaguered.

Pakistsn hasn’t won a single Test in Australia since 1995-96.
One sincerely hope it doesn’t happen to Shan Masood what happened to Javed Burki in 1962 in England. 🙏
