The month of August is very important in our national and national history. On August 14, 1947, Pakistan came into being and the dawn of our independence dawned. Pakistan is the name of geography as well as ideology. The ideological basis of Pakistan is the Word of Monotheism. On August 26, 1941, a major Islamic movement of the Islamic world i.e. Jamaat-e-Islami was formed on the basis of this word of Tawheed. In Islamia Park, a well-known settlement in the historic city of Lahore, the total number of delegates from every corner of the subcontinent was only 75. They gathered at the invitation of Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi, a renowned scholar and thinker of the Islamic world. Most of those who came were young but young. All of them were a mirror of sincerity and sincerity, and the purpose of their gathering was to form a party for The Almighty Allah.
On the occasion of the establishment of any religious or political party, there is a celebration. Sweets are distributed and feasts go on. Gifts are presented and words are said, but this scene of the establishment of Jamaat-e-Islami was unique and unique. On this occasion, every person who joined this new party would get up and first recite the Word of Shahadat, renew faith, then recite the oath between tears and sighs. How fortunate these 75 people were to establish the sovereignty of Allah in the subcontinent. People join parties for personal power. Parties are formed on the basis of regional biases. They come together on linguistic priorities. They are fascinated by personal leadership, but here everyone was coming together so that the word of Allah would be exalted in the world. On this occasion, the initial donation was also collected, but it did not even make 75 rupees. 74 rupees 9 annas was collected. Allah loved the sincerity of these 75 people so much that as a result of the work of calling and movement with sincerity and love till the partition of India, the message spread to every corner of Hindustan.
On August 14, 1947, when Pakistan came into being and the subcontinent was divided, Jamaat-e-Islami was also divided. The name remained Jamaat-e-Islami, the work remained dawah-e-din, the place remained the heart of the believers, but the organizations were separated. Jamaat-e-Islami became active as a completely separate and empowered organization in India, Sri Lanka, Occupied and Azad Kashmir, Nepal in addition to Pakistan. In 1971, When Pakistan was divided, The Jamaat-e-Islami of Bangladesh came into existence separately. Starting with 75 people, this caravan is such a tree that its roots are in the earth and branches are in the sky. Jamaat-e-Islami has more than 25 million affiliates in all these countries.
Jamaat-e-Islami is neither a religious party nor a political party. Most political parties represent political families. Every political party represents a family. Most of the religious parties are representatives of the sect and each party is the protector of some sect or the other. Jamaat-e-Islami is neither the representative and protector of any political family nor is it a supporter or opponent of any particular sect. Jamaat-e-Islami has spent six years after its foundation day, 75 years after the formation of united India and Pakistan. Some of the most prominent aspects of the deep history of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan have made in this period are as follows:
Constitutional and ideological struggle. After the establishment of Pakistan, the landlords, elders, civil and military bureaucracy and the secular class tried their best that the land of Pakistan remains unconstitutional or if the constitution is made, then it should be a document to make Pakistan secular instead of Islamic. Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, especially the founder of Jamaat-e-Islami Maulana Syed Abul Ala Maududi, passed the resolution with the cooperation of Allama Syed Sulaiman Nadvi, Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Usmani, Mufti Abul Hasnat Qadri, Maulana Daud Ghaznavi, Allama Jafar Hussain Mujtahid and other ulema of Pakistan. He united 31 scholars on 22 points. He responded to the negative propaganda of the secular class that “whose Islam should be implemented?”. He campaigned for the Islamic Constitution. When the Constituent Assembly was dissolved, they fought a constitutional battle in the highest courts of the country and eventually won. He participated in the framing of the Constitution of 1956. Give valuable suggestions in making this constitution Islamic democratic, federal
Due to the martial law of 1958, when the constitution was wrapped up, he fought continuously for the abolition of martial law, the restoration of civil liberties, the protection of human rights. During this struggle, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami was martyred in 1963. Jamaat-e-Islami was banned in 1964. All the shura members were placed under house arrest and the party was restored with the supreme court’s decision. In the formulation of the Constitution of 1973 and editing its Islamic provisions, jamaat-e-Islami mlAs Prof. Ghafoor Ahmed, Mahmood Azam Farooqi, Dr. Nazir Ahmed Shaheed, Sahibzada Safiullah under the guidance of other ulema Hazrat Maulana Mufti Mahmood, Maulana Shah Ahmad Noorani etc. Establishment of council and federal Sharia court, constitutional prohibition of legislation contrary to Quran and Sunnah, establishment of Islamic society under Article 31 as government responsibility, oath of president, prime minister and other officials etc.
Qadiani became a non-Muslim minority as a result of the 1974 Khatm-e-Nabuwwat movement.
Jamaat-e-Islami is still active for the protection of the Constitution of Pakistan. Even in the current political crisis, Jamaat-e-Islami is trying its best not to harm the Constitution of Pakistan in any way.
Unity of ummah:
The second major achievement of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan is the masaai jamila for the unity of the Ummah. Since Jamaat-e-Islami itself does not represent any particular sect, it includes people belonging to all sects and Jamaat-e-Islami itself is a symbol of unity of ummah, then Jamaat-e-Islami has always tried its best for unity of ummah and inter-religious harmony. He has done the duty of uniting the Ummah in the form of Tehreek-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, Tehreek Nizam Mustafa, Milli Solidarity Council, Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal etc. In order to save the text from length, I am only adding a list of the achievements of Jamaat-e-Islami. Rejection of dynastic politics and democracy of Jamaat-e-Islami within itself, election of Ameer Jamaat and Shura through secret ballot.
Protection of democracy against dictatorship:
Jamaat-e-Islami has always condemned and opposed dictatorships (Ayubi dictatorship, Bhutto Shahi, Yahya Khan, Zia-ul-Haq and Pervez Musharraf’s dictatorship) and fought for the protection of democracy and democratic measures.
Service and Relief Work:
Under The Jamaat-e-Islami, Al-Khidmat Foundation is running projects worth Rs3 billion every year. Hospitals, dispensaries, ambulance services, blood banks, establishment of hostels and educational institutions in the name of Aghosh for austerity, earthquake victims, flood victims, IDPs etc. and now relief and rehabilitation projects worth crores of rupees to end the Corona epidemic etc.
The task of reforming the Ummah in every class of life:Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba among students, Islami Jamiat-e-Vidyarthi in religious seminaries, National Labour Federation among workers, Tehreek-e-To-Azam, Kisan Board Pakistan among farmers, Teachers’ Organization teachers, Jamiat Ittehad-ul-Ulama in ulema, Islamic Lawyers Movement, Pema in doctors, Ima in home doctors, Engineers Forum, Shabaab in youth, women’s constituency among women. The Pakistan Business Forum among businessmen, as if every section of life is doing inviting work and a large section of the society is being organized to reform their society and government. The work of building and creating a religious environment is going on through a series of understanding Quran classes, circles of the Holy Quran, night awakenings, training centers, religious literature, etc.
