Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar’s father Ehtesham-ul-Haq Kakar started his job as tehsildar and held various positions. After this, he went to Cadet College Kohat, during which his father died, after which Anwarul Haq Kakar had to make Quetta his home. He did his Masters in Political Science and Sociology from The University of Balochistan. At the beginning of his practical life, Anwarul Haq Kakar faced difficulties, he started teaching from his native school, because Anwarul Haq Kakar was aware of the hardships of life, so his heart kept beating in his chest to solve people’s problems.It was this beat that brought him into politics. Sarwar Khan Kakar is credited with introducing him to politics. It is also true that Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar first appeared on the political scene of Balochistan in 2008, when he contested the National Assembly election from Quetta city as a candidate of the Q-League, but he was successfully one step behind. In 2015, he was made the spokesman of the Balochistan government by Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri of the PML-N, during this period of interpretation, he got the opportunity to get close to the national political leaders, the military leadership and journalists across the country. I vividly remember that General Raheel Sharif was the Army Chief, General Amir Riaz was the Corps Commander Quetta and Asim Saleem Bajwa was the spokesman of the Army, in those days we were often called to Quetta and Gwadar. Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar had long meetings, from here the friendship started. He had several memorable meetings with him in a well-known market in Islamabad.
In early 2018, Anwarul Haq Kakar was at the forefront of the revolt against the PML-N government from Balochistan. Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar is an educated, intelligent and peace-loving politician, when he talks while observing the problems of life correctly, it seems as if a philosopher is speaking, he has mastery over English, Urdu, Persian, Pashto, Balochi and Brahvi languages. The intellectual voice of Balochistan chief also met the PTI chairman in the past as his party was his ally.
Father’s Secretary General Manzoor Kakar is also a strong voice of Balochistan. Manzoor Kakar is the brother of our friend Munir Kakar of Government College Lahore. A Baloch chief has expressed displeasure over Anwarul Haq Kakar becoming the caretaker prime minister. Perhaps the main reason for this is that Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar is not a big landlord or sardar, but a middle-class person who loves Balochistan and Pakistan. It is believed that Anwarul Haq Kakar will keep himself away from political controversies and will not be part of the violent politics of the last sixteen months.
