Saudi Arabia Urges International Cooperation to Halt Hostilities and Ensure Humanitarian Protection
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has held telephone conversations with his counterparts in the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan, focusing on the need to halt hostilities and safeguard human lives amid the Israel-Palestine conflict. During these discussions, Prince Faisal emphasized Saudi Arabia’s refusal to accept the targeting of ordinary Palestinians and called for all parties to respect international humanitarian laws.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan underscored the necessity of enhancing efforts to improve the situation and prevent further escalation of violence in the region. These conversations included exchanges with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ayman Safadi, discussing the latest developments in Gaza and its surroundings and exploring measures to stop hostilities.
Telephone discussions with Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani focused on the situation in Gaza and collaborative actions to prevent further hostilities. Additionally, Prince Faisal bin Farhan had a conversation with Josep Borrell, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, urging the European Union to play an immediate role in ending the conflict, recognizing its severity.
