Market and Justice

There is a declining trend in Lahore and Karachi, while bids are going on in the Islamabad market. New names are coming up on a daily basis, seeing these dialects, the Eid of sacrifice is being remembered because in it, the bids with the names of animals adorn the media, the same situation is happening with the names of the caretaker Prime Minister nowadays. Till then, some one and a half to two dozen names have come up only as caretaker prime minister, I do not know which leg has given a son to everyone. When the number of prime ministers’ names is about one and a half to two dozen, then the number of ministers goes to hundreds, so nowadays four to five hundred ministers and dozens of prime ministers are roaming around in the market of Islamabad. Some are so sure that they have started talking to the artisans related to their ministries. Some other daily wage earners have even started booking contractors for their surveillance period. This market of power does not know whether it is paddy market or sutra mandi or goat market near Lal Kadti in Rawalpindi, rates are being fixed in the same way as arhtiyas decide, bids are being made everywhere, bidders are neither concerned about Pakistan nor the people of Pakistan, people want power, power at any cost. I don’t know how many more days the market is illuminated, right now the scene of the last night of big Eid is being presented. Just think about it! People are trampling on all the principles of morality to gain power. There is unrest everywhere to get a few days of power. Groups of vested interests have gathered around those who are happy to name themselves in the lists presented in the media. People’s frustration is growing in front of politicians who only care about themselves. Whether it is the field of sports or journalism, problems are increasing everywhere in business life. If people got justice, there would be no disappointment in the society. Nelson Mandela once said, “Poverty does not end with charity, but by justice.” In societies where justice survives, prosperity becomes their destiny, and where justice is not done, the crops of oppression become young. Oppression swallows prosperity, oppression and injustice deepen the shadow of poverty.
A few days ago, Nasir Iqbal Khan introduced some journalists to former Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar in Lahore. Mian Saqib Nisar mentioned many incidents that took place in his tenure, many such stages were mentioned where the situation was very critical, Saqib Nisar says that I always took decisions honestly and boldly, former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, who studied from Government College Lahore, missed his mother that day, he said, “My mother ordered me that son! Cowardice is not shown anywhere, you have to show courage, you have to live bravely.” Baba Rahmat was also mentioned here, talk of dam fund also started. The former chief justice said that 17 billion rupees of the dam fund are lying in the account of the Supreme Court, I was so serious about the dam that I formed a panel of judges so that it could be monitored, but after retirement, how far could I guard. Mian Saqib Nisar talked about Pakistani political leadership, he reviewed political leaders in the mirror of the past and present and then said that unfortunately our political leadership has neither vision nor wisdom.
The former Chief Justice of Pakistan spoke of a big leaf during the conversation, he said that “any judge should be free from expediency, interest and fear”. To the extent of things, this is true, but if we look at the judicial history of Pakistan, then there is some expediency, somewhere there is interest and somewhere fear. In this regard, the interview of another former Chief Justice Naseem Hassan Shah is very memorable, he says in his interview that “judges are under pressure, judges also love jobs”. Now who should be obeyed because Pakistan is ranked 130th in the world ranking of justice. If the justice situation in Pakistan was better, we would certainly have been better ranked in the world rankings. Now fingers are also being raised on human rights in Pakistan, if there was justice here, the shadows of poverty and poverty would not have spread in our country in this way, nor would the magic of cruelty and injustice speak loudly. There is a rule of mafias everywhere, justice has been lost somewhere in this rule, that is why I remember the poem of Ata-ul-Haq Qasmi:
Children are being tortured in the market and the market.
Justice should also be a child.
