International Community Urged to Act As Special Assistant to PM Expresses Concern Over Human Rights Violations in Occupied Kashmir”
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Mashaal Hussain Malik has expressed serious concern over the plight of Hurriyat leaders illegally detained in Occupied Kashmir. He has said that the international community should take immediate steps to protect Kashmiris from Modi’s aggression. He urged the United Nations to play an active role in their release and demanded that India stop systematic human rights violations in the occupied Valley. He said that it is very unfortunate that the Modi government has closed the doors of all peaceful means to resolve the long-standing dispute in Kashmir by resorting to the worst kind of extremism and fascism and turning the occupied territory into a military cantonment. He further said that it is the responsibility of the United Nations and all relevant human rights organizations to resolve the Kashmir conflict by implementing their respective resolutions to protect the lives of the people of illegally occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir. Malik said that the Indian government is supporting the illegal detention of Kashmiri political prisoners who have been put behind bars for peacefully struggling for a political solution to the Kashmir conflict as guaranteed by UN Security Council resolutions. The community should take immediate steps to protect Kashmiris from Modi’s aggression.
