Saif Ali Khan’s marriage to Kareena Kapoor is one of the most famous weddings in Bollywood that faced severe criticism for marrying an older actress. However, the couple has stated that they are very happy with their marriage.
In an interview with the Indian media, Saif Ali Khan was asked about the effects of the age difference between husband and wife on their marriage. To which Saif Ali Khan responded, “I would advise all men to marry young and beautiful women.”
On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor talked about love for older men during the promotion of her film ‘We Are Family’ a few years ago, which caused a lot of discussion on social media.
Kareena Kapoor stated that she would not play the role of a woman in love with an older man on the screen anymore because, in real life, there is only a 10-year age difference between her and Saif.”
Kareena said that she doesn’t want to love a man who is significantly older than her. Saif is 10 years older than her and she believes that no one older than him would be able to tolerate an actress nor would they be interested in her.
It is important to remember that Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan got married on October 16, 2012. This was Saif’s second marriage and they have two sons together, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
Before this, Saif had married actress Amrita Singh who was older than him in 1991. They have two children together, a daughter named Sara Ali Khan and a son named Ibrahim Ali Khan.
