PPP gets sword symbol after 46 years

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has been allotted the election symbol of the sword after 46 years.
A four-member commission headed by Member Nisar Durrani heard the petitions for allotment of election symbols of political parties.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has allotted election symbols to 23 political parties, giving the sword symbol to the PPP after 46 years.
The commission stayed the decision on the request of the IPP and the All Pakistan Muslim League, in this regard, the four-member committee said that the IPP asked for the shaheen symbol, which is with the All Pakistan Muslim League.
During the hearing, the member of the Election Commission said that the IPP placed the bird symbol at number three in the priority list, you take the bird symbol, it is also a bird like Shaheen.
In addition, the ECP rejected the request of The Stability Pakistan Party and directed to provide relevant documents, the committee said that the registration of the party is still pending.
The ELECTION Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has recommended a book to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), a cup to the People’s Muslim League, a ring to The Contact Jamiat-e-Islam, a bucket to the Kisan Ittehad and a moon to the Hazara Democratic Party and a hockey symbol to the Pakistan Awami League.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was allotted a knife, a missile to the Pakistan Peace Movement, a pistol to the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Pakistan, a victory to the Pakistan People’s Party Bhutto Shaheed, a vest to the Pakistan Welfare Movement, a plaque to the JUI ideology, a helmet to the Modern Awami Party and a telephone symbol to the Tehreek-e-Awam Pakistan.
