Federal Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-Religious Harmony, Aneeq Ahmed, has revealed that the possibility of allowing pilgrims to stay overnight in Kartarpur is being considered. The aim is to encourage pilgrims to experience Kartarpur’s beauty and promote religious tourism. Minister Ahmed shared these insights during a meeting with Lahore Chamber President Kashif Anwar at the LCCI. He also noted that while the previous government facilitated daily visits for 5,000 pilgrims to Kartarpur, there were still vacant seats. The restoration of a bus route from Amritsar to Kartarpur was also suggested by the Minister. Additionally, during his visit to the Central Jamiat Ahl Hadith headquarters, discussions were held regarding the importance of religious harmony and potential global legislation to protect revered prophets and holy books. The event was attended by various prominent figures, including Allama Shafiq Khan Pasruri, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Rashid, Dr. Muhammad Hammad Lakhvi, Hafiz Mutasim Elahi Zaheer, and Qari Soheb Ahmad Mir Mohammadi.
