Ammar ibn Yasser (r.a.). Martyred son of martyred parents

Ammar ibn Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) was such a companion of the Prophet (s). One of the first to convert to Islam… According to one tradition, Ammar was one of the first 7 people to convert to Islam, according to another tradition, Ammar was one of the first 30 people to convert to Islam. Ammar is a martyr whose mother Samiya bin Khabat (r.a.) and father Yasser b. Amir (r.a.) was also the first martyr of Islam. Ammar Yasir, his brother Abdullah, his father Yasir, and his mother Samiya were tortured by the polytheists of Makkah so that they could turn away from Islam. According to tradition, Ammar was also involved in the migration of Abyssinia and later participated in the migration to Medina. He was with the Prophet (s) in the construction of the Mosque of Quba. He was with the Messenger of Allah in all the battles… He was always one of Imam ‘Ali’s (a) close associates, one of Imam ‘Ali’s (a) companions, and his companions in Jamal and Siffin. Ammar Yasser was martyred in the Battle of Siffin on 9 Safar, 37 AH by mu’awiya bin Abi Sufyan’s army. After the martyrdom of Ammar, Imam Ali (a) offered his funeral prayer. At the time of his martyrdom, he is said to be above 90 years of age. Ammar’s martyrdom was foretold by the Prophet (s) in his lifetime. Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “We picked up one brick each while taking part in the construction of the mosque, but Ammar was picking up two bricks.” Ammar will be killed by a rebellious party, which Ammar will invite to Paradise, and that party will be inviting Ammar to hell. Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: “I seek refuge from temptations.” (Reference: 1) Sahih Al-Bukhari, Kitab al-Salaah, Hadith 447 2) Sahih Bukhari, Hadith 2812) It is narrated that Khuzaima bin Thabit was involved in both the Battle of Jamal and Siffin but did not fire a sword at anyone, but when Ammar was martyred by Mu’awiya’s army in the Battle of Siffin. He said, “Now the misguided group has become clear to me, saying that I fought in the rakab of Imam Ali (a) until he attained martyrdom.” (Ibn Saad, Al-Tabaqat al-Kubri, Beirut, vol. 3, p. 259.) The Messenger of Allah (s) said about Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Bahisht is eager for Ammar. (Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr, al-Isti’ab fi Marifat al-Ashab, vol. 3, p. 229)) In another place, he said, “Ammar is with the truth and with the truth of Ammar, wherever the truth is, Ammar revolves around the truth.” Ammar’s killers are hellish.
