According to the President of the country.
President Dr. Arif Alvi announced on Sunday, April 30th, that the general elections for the Punjab Assembly will be held on this date.
The President made the announcement after considering the proposed dates from the Election Commission.
The Election Commission had recommended dates between April 30th and May 7th for the general elections of the Punjab Assembly.
The Election Commission had also suggested holding the elections on a Sunday.
